1. was / were (past of "be")
"to be" อดีต: was กับ I/he/she/it, were กับ you/we/they
I was at the office yesterday. (ฉันอยู่ที่ออฟฟิศเมื่อวาน)
They were happy. (พวกเขามีความสุข)

2. Regular verbs: + ed
กริยาปกติ: เติม -ed เพื่อทำอดีต
I worked yesterday. (ฉันทำงานเมื่อวาน)
She finished the report. (เธอทำรายงานเสร็จ)

3. Irregular verbs: change form
กริยาผิดปกติ: เปลี่ยนรูป — ต้องจำ!
I went to the market. (ฉันไปตลาด) — go → went
She had a meeting. (เธอมีการประชุม) — have → had
She had a meeting. (เธอมีการประชุม) — have → had
4. Past questions: Did + subject + base verb
คำถามอดีต: Did + ประธาน + กริยารูปปกติ (ไม่ต้องเติม -ed!)
Did you go to work? (คุณไปทำงานไหม?) — ไม่ใช่ "Did you went"!
What did you do yesterday? (คุณทำอะไรเมื่อวาน?)
