1. Structure: If + past, would + base verb
โครงสร้าง: If + กริยาอดีต, would + กริยาไม่ผัน — ใช้กับสถานการณ์สมมติ/ไม่จริง
If I had more budget, I would hire more staff.
If the product were cheaper, more people would buy it.

2. If I were... (subjunctive)
ใช้ "were" กับทุกประธานหลัง if ในภาษาทางการ (แม้แต่ I, he, she)
If I were in your position, I would apologize. (ถ้าฉันเป็นคุณ ฉันจะขอโทษ)
If she were here, she would know what to do.
If she were here, she would know what to do.
3. First vs Second Conditional
First Conditional = เป็นไปได้จริง / Second Conditional = สมมติ ไม่จริง
First: If it rains, I will stay home. (อาจฝนตกจริง)
Second: If I were a bird, I would fly. (เป็นไม่ได้ — สมมติ)
Second: If I were a bird, I would fly. (เป็นไม่ได้ — สมมติ)
4. Thai tip: Don't mix conditionals
ห้ามผสม tense — "If I had... I will..." ผิด ต้องเป็น "If I had... I would..."
If I had time, I would help you. ✅
If I had time, I will help you. ❌ — ต้องใช้ would!
If I had time, I will help you. ❌ — ต้องใช้ would!
